Fire District February 17 Meeting Briefs
New Commissioner Sworn In: Attorney John Motylinski administered the oath of office to Commissioner Anton “Tony” Brncich, who was appointed by the Board of Trustees in December. Brncich officially began his duties following Monday’s swearing-in ceremony.
Lieutenant Promotion Finalized: Louis Helis was promoted to Lieutenant on February 9 after completing the promotional examination process. The Board of Commissioners approved the final examination list, with Helis ranking first among candidates.
2023 Audit Scheduled: The Manhattan Fire Protection District’s 2023 audit is scheduled to be presented to the board next month, Chief Malone announced.
Equipment Delivery Expected: A Tahoe vehicle ordered last year is expected to arrive at the district within the next few weeks, Battalion Chief Bruce Boyle reported.
Personnel Session Held: The board met in closed session for 21 minutes to discuss specific personnel matters before adjourning the meeting at 4:48 p.m.
