Manhattan Police Report

On July 31, 2025, at 1:49 P.M. officers were in the area of Marion & Manhattan Rd. when they observed a black trailer being towed by a truck with no registration. Officers spoke with Ortiz-Calderon, Luis A (20) of Joliet Illinois, and learned that Ortiz-Calderon has never been issued a valid driver’s license. Ortiz-Calderon was then issued citations for no valid registration, no valid driver’s license, operating uninsured motor vehicle, no safety inspection. Ortiz-Calderon was then issued a court date and released.
On August 1, 2025, officers were in the area of Manhattan Rd & Gougar when they observed a white Jeep with suspended registration. Officers spoke with Alston, Jasmine L (33) of Richton Park IL and learned her driver’s license was suspended. Officers issued Alston citations for suspended registration and suspended drivers license at which time she was issued a court date and released.
