MANHATTAN — The Manhattan School District 114 board meeting on Wednesday included a moment of celebration as the Manhattan Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) presented the district with a check for $20,000.

A PTO representative named Sam addressed the board, announcing the substantial donation raised through the organization’s efforts. “We are donating $20,000 back to 114,” she said, explaining that the amount would be split into approximately $5,000 per school.
