Village Approves New Truck Purchase for Public Works Department
The Manhattan Village Board approved the purchase of a new Ford F450 truck for $116,000 to replace aging equipment in the public works department.
The truck will be used for street repair and snow removal operations, replacing a 2006 vehicle with high mileage and increasing repair costs. The purchase from Curry Ford includes outfitting and falls within the village’s budgeted amount for the equipment.
“This truck will be used by our public works department for street repair and snow removal,” Mayor Adrieansen explained during the meeting.
The village plans to auction off the old truck once the new vehicle is delivered and put into service. The replacement represents part of the village’s ongoing fleet modernization efforts to ensure reliable public works operations.
All board members voted in favor of the purchase, which had been previously budgeted for the current fiscal year.
