Banks Farm Development: The village board approved six separate resolutions demanding payment on letters of credit for various phases of the Banks Farm Development Villas of Prairie Trails project, covering mass grading, underground improvements, basic roadway work, finish roadway improvements, parkway improvements, and common area landscaping. The bank had not yet provided revised letters of credit as of the meeting date but confirmed they would be renewed following committee approval.

Dog Park Progress: Trustees noted that the new dog park construction is nearing completion, with shade structures planned for both sides of the facility to provide relief for pet owners. The project appears to be ahead of schedule based on trustee observations.

Police Recognition: Chief Ryan Goalie recently graduated from command school, continuing the department’s emphasis on professional development. Officer Noah also received community praise on social media for his community policing efforts.

Community Events: Several upcoming events were highlighted, including a fitness premiere event with the mayor on Saturday at 8:30 a.m., a St. Joe’s fundraiser at Fritz’s on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. featuring guest bartenders, and a car show scheduled for June 11th.

Infrastructure Updates: Baker Road street light installation is nearly complete, with only two or three fixtures remaining to be wired. The village expects the lights to be energized within a week following electrical inspection.

Graduation Congratulations: Board members congratulated graduating eighth graders from Manhattan Junior High, St. Joe’s, Lincoln-Way West, and Providence schools, as well as the Lincoln-Way West girls softball team competing in sectionals.
