The board voted to support the Will County Community Concerns (WCCC) agency following a request for a donation. According to Supervisor Jim Walsh’s report, the agency has been highly active within the township, having provided over $43,000 in assistance to Manhattan residents for essential needs such as rent and utility payments.

The township’s last donation to WCCC was $2,500, made approximately 1.5 years ago. The fresh contribution acknowledges the significant and ongoing support the organization offers to the community’s most vulnerable individuals and families.

The motion to approve the donation was made by Trustee Mark Yunker and seconded by Trustee Eileen Fitzer. The board’s unanimous approval highlighted the value it places on the partnership and the services WCCC delivers locally.
