On August 2, 2025, officers responded to the 24700 block of Foxford Drive from a hit and run accident. It was reported that a black Chevy Monte Carlo struck two mailboxes and fled the scene. Officers located the suspected Chevy with the assistance of APLR. The driver, Vallera, Michael (51) of Joliet was located days later and issued citations for hit and run accident and processed for a warrant out of Will County Illinois.

On August 14, 2025 officers observed a black Toyota in the area of Route 52 & Gougar with improper displayed registration. A traffic stop was conducted at which time officers spoke with Perdomo-Zambrano, Adrian E (21) of Joliet Illinois. It was learned that Perdomo-Zambrano has never been issued a valid driver’s license. Perdomo-Zambrono was issued citations for improper display of registration, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

On August 14, 2025 officers were in the area of Manhattan Monee & Brynn when they observed a trailer being towed with no registration displayed. Officers spoke with the driver, Vega, Maguel (26) of Joliet Illinois and learned he has never been issued a valid driver’s license. Officers issued citations for improper display of registration, no safety test, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and drivers license never issued.

On August 17, 2025, officers stopped a commercial motor vehicle in the area of State & Second for an overlength violation. Officers asked the driver, who is now identified as Teets, Geoffrey A (54) of Louisville Kentucky for his driver’s license and insurance to which Teets advised he would have to be arrested to provide it. Teets was asked multiple times for identification and refused at which time he was arrested and charged with Obstructing a peace officer, overlength vehicle and disobeying a police officer.
