According to a project summary from the Will County Division of Transportation, the scope of work includes roadway widening and reconstruction with new pavement, installation of sidewalks and storm sewers, and modernization of traffic signals. The project will also involve building a soldier pile retaining wall, new street lighting, and pavement markings.

Construction is slated to begin in November 2025, with an estimated completion date of November 20, 2026. Officials have stated that Bell Road will remain open to traffic throughout the construction period, though drivers should expect periodic lane closures controlled by flaggers.
