The Jackson Township Board received a progress report from Highway Commissioner Walsh on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, covering equipment acquisitions and regional road construction issues.

Commissioner Walsh confirmed that the township’s new International truck has been manufactured and is currently on the lot. The vehicle is in the process of being transferred to Kankakee Truck and Equipment, where final accessories will be added.

Regarding road maintenance materials, Walsh reported that the district has been purchasing invoices for Joliet Asphalt. The district is utilizing repurposed stone from the company for shoulder stone, noting that the material is currently less expensive than road mix.
