Highway Commissioner Jim Baltas reported that the Baker Road Bridge is projected to open for use on Friday, October 31. Baltas noted this opening date is one day ahead of the original schedule.
In preparation for the coming winter, Baltas confirmed that the Road District’s new snowplow truck is ready for possession. The vehicle required a final adjustment to the tarp covering the bed but is now prepared just in time for the season.
Additionally, the Highway Commissioner noted that crews would begin mowing roadsides one more time for the year starting the following Monday.
