The board approved its 2026 meeting schedule. Meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m., except for April. The April meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 14, immediately following the Annual Town Meeting.

In his report, Assessor LeGrett noted that the township saw significant new residential value this year. He also mentioned that three new warehouses are currently under construction. With assessment hearings concluded, his office is now “cleaning up” in preparation for the quadrennial reassessment year in 2026.

Road Commissioner Walsh reported that a new truck ordered two years ago is finally being built in Kankakee. He also noted that Comcast is currently boring underneath township roads for cable installation.

Supervisor Robbins reported on collaborative efforts with the Village of Elwood, Manhattan Township, and the Village of Manhattan. The group has been meeting with Northpoint representatives to discuss the strategic placement of warehouses and employee entrances to mitigate local impact.
