Jackson Township Board Meeting | December 10, 2025

The Jackson Township Board met on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, to handle end-of-year financial business and hear reports from township officials. The meeting focused largely on the approval of annual tax levies and updates on infrastructure and community services. Supervisor Matt Robbins provided updates on regional transportation and development, while Trustees coordinated holiday charitable efforts.

Access Will County Delayed:
Supervisor Robbins informed the Board that he received an email regarding “Access Will County.” The new bus service will not launch until January 2026.

Northpoint Development Update:
Supervisor Robbins reported that he remains in contact with Northpoint representatives. He recently rode with them into the project footprint to survey the area.

Food Pantry Partnership:
Brandon from the Elwood Food Pantry announced a partnership with Elwood Baseball and the Boy Scouts. He intends to distribute his stipend to those organizations.

Donation Approved:
The Board voted unanimously to approve a $750 donation to the Jackson Twilighters. The motion was made by Trustee Hallihan and seconded by Trustee O’Connell.

Holiday Assistance:
Trustee Hallihan announced that Christmas baskets and toys will be distributed on December 20. Packing will take place from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Additionally, Trustee O’Connell encouraged residents seeking general assistance to utilize ShareFest, which provides household goods and food to county residents in need.

Service Discontinued:
Supervisor Robbins reported that the township has discontinued service with AT&T.
