The Jackson Township Board met on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, to handle end-of-year financial business and hear reports from township officials. Access Will County Delayed:
Supervisor Robbins informed the Board that he received an email regarding “Access Will County.” The new bus service will not launch until January 2026.
Northpoint Development Update:
Supervisor Robbins reported that he remains in contact with Northpoint representatives. He recently rode with them into the project footprint to survey the area.
Food Pantry Partnership:
Brandon from the Elwood Food Pantry announced a partnership with Elwood Baseball and the Boy Scouts. He intends to distribute his stipend to those organizations.
Donation Approved:
The Board voted unanimously to approve a $750 donation to the Jackson Twilighters. The motion was made by Trustee Hallihan and seconded by Trustee O’Connell.
Holiday Assistance:
Trustee Hallihan announced that Christmas baskets and toys will be distributed on December 20. Packing will take place from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Additionally, Trustee O’Connell encouraged residents seeking general assistance to utilize ShareFest, which provides household goods and food to county residents in need.
Service Discontinued:
Supervisor Robbins reported that the township has discontinued service with AT&T.
