(The Center Square) – A Chicago man is charged with murder and aggravated arson in connection with a fire that killed city firefighter and EMT Michael Altman last week.
CWB Chicago reports that Sheaves Slate, 27, is the fourth person charged this year with killing or attempting to kill someone in Chicago while on felony pretrial release.

PEKIN MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF CHILD SEX ABUSE MATERIALS
A Pekin man has been charged with possession of child sexual abuse material after an Illinois State Police investigation in Tazewell County.
ISP special agents arrested Christian E. Hundt, 46, at his home last Wednesday. Hundt is charged on three counts, but ISP says additional charges may be forthcoming.
Anonymous tips of child sexual abuse materials can be reported through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s cyber tip line.
