During the action items portion of the agenda, the board voted 6-0 to approve the reclassification of the position and role of the Director of Special Education. Moving forward, the position will be known as the Director of Student Services. The board also approved the updated job description associated with the expanded title.
Immediately following, the board voted 6-0 to approve the creation of a brand new administrative position: Director of Operations. The motion included the approval of the role’s official job description.

Additionally, the board approved a block of administrative and administrative assistant employment contracts for the upcoming terms. A separate motion was unanimously passed to approve a principal’s administrator retirement contract for Ryan McWilliams. The board also approved an amendment to the superintendent’s administrator contract for Dr. Damien Aherne.
