The Lincoln-Way West varsity softball team continued its stellar season on Thursday afternoon, holding off a tough Sandburg squad to earn an 8-6 conference victory at home.

In a matchup that tested the highly ranked home team, Lincoln-Way West relied on its high-powered offense and late-game composure to secure the win. The victory improves Lincoln-Way West’s impressive overall record to 21-5 and bolsters their near-perfect conference mark to 11-1.

Sandburg, entering the contest with a 14-12 overall record and a 7-5 mark in conference play, proved to be a formidable opponent.
