(The Center Square) – In today’s edition of Illinois in Focus Daily, The Center Square Editor Greg Bishop shares the reaction to violence in Chicago, including two separate shootings after a downtown holiday celebration, from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and President Donald Trump. Also, last week, Gov. J.B. Pritzker was asked if the state needs to change no-cash bail policies and the perception of public safety in the city.
Bishop also shares a profile interview with one of the Republicans running for the party’s nomination to take on Gov. J.B. Pritzker. Former Wirepoints president Ted Dabrowski discusses how he’d breakthrough in Chicago and the suburbs, take on Pritzker’s political war chest and address the state’s high taxes and lagging economy.
