Overall Meeting Summary
The Manhattan Village Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, to address infrastructure planning, intergovernmental cooperation, and public safety. D.A.D.’s Day Fundraiser Approved: The Board passed a resolution authorizing the use of Foxford Drive and U.S. Route 52 on Saturday, June 20, 2026, for the annual “Dollars Against Diabetes” (D.A.D.’s Day) fundraiser. This event is organized by the Will-Grundy Counties Building & Construction Trades Council.

Trustee Attends Remotely: The Board voted to authorize Trustee Justin Young to attend the meeting electronically due to work travel. Trustee Tom Doyle was absent from the meeting.

Early Voting Hours Announced: Village Clerk Rebecca Bouck announced that early voting for Manhattan Village and Township residents will take place at Village Hall. Voting hours are Monday through Friday, March 2 through March 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Executive Session: The Board entered into an executive session at 6:43 p.m. to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees and collective bargaining. They returned to open session at approximately 7:17 p.m. with no action taken.

Speed Limit Signage Issues: Mayor Adrieansen noted that while speed limits on Route 52 have been lowered, GPS systems have not yet updated to reflect the change. Chief Gulli is working to notify providers to update their data to prevent driver confusion.
